That is All

Written by Kaffe Myers

I’m painting pictures in my head
Of the sea, of the forest, of the beach
Of all the places I wish to be with you
Hidden scenarios of an alternative reality
Where we share everything equally
Pretending to fight, tumbling around
Our bodies pressing tightly together emotionally

When I see your back facing me
I feel like shuffling up behind you
And running my fingers down your spine
To finally move in closer to embrace you
But this time around, it is a feeling of fear
Filling my body, filling my eyes, gripping me
This time around, I know that it’s only telling me that
You’re about to disappear

There are only a few moments of silence left
Before it is too late to break it

I want you
Not to leave tonight
I want you
To stay right by my side
I want you
To give me that shining smile
I want you
And that is all

Defenestrate Intolerance

Written by Kaffe Myers (with a little help from his friends)

A simple man doing his chores
For him, life is simple, no endeavours
Redeeming thoughts carrying him through the day
Before each meal, he never forgets to pray
He believes in God Almighty
Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost

A man of Islam kneels down in prayer
His praises to Allah float through the air
To troubling questions he hopes for an answer
A man of peace must prepare himself for war
The hot 'poison wind' bringing rumors of strife
Old customs set aside, a new way of life

A mathematician of Jewish decent
He calculates his life to be efficient
Every step he makes has a meaning
He only walks backwards to find solutions
In order to end what causes pollutions
He believes that is what Jehovah wants him to do

A Buddhist monk sweeping his floors
He meditates as the broom makes its course
Imagining the things tying him down
Getting swept away like the dirt on the ground
So he continues the day free from any vice
Nirvana beckons as soon as he is free

An agnostic that can’t make up his mind
He believes that no real god would mind
That if he just live his life being kind
A favourable ruling will befall him in afterlife
So he carry through his days with an open heart
And with a positive mindset, he plays his cards

I am a man and I believe in a kind
It is in man and all of her kind
In simpletons and people with a greater mind
Religious or not, no one is left behind
Many would say that I’m simply naive
But I’m just deliberately out of my mind

Oh, for what the world can be
For what the world can be
Every time you look yourself in the mirror
Can you honestly say that there is merely one way?
That there’s no shade to any color?

Dream, dream
For what the world can
Be. Be
Whatever you want to
Be. See
Clearly through the worlds muddy windshield

Defenestrate any disability to respect
What you don’t understand or believe
It is funny how we are prejudiced against the carefree ones
When most religions preach for unity

Nigh Dawn

Oh, these sleepless nights; lethal knights is eyes, searching for warmth nigh dawn; aye, shut eyes did not endure; why must I abide by hours?

Acquiescent Days

Written by Kaffe Myers
Copyright©

Acquiescent days don’t seem too far away
You can see them approach in the horizon
But the rain-filled clouds are approaching from behind
If I just could push myself a little further into the sun
And forget the things that have begun
I could push the beginning into something that should already
Have begun

A panoramic view I get from where I am
But all areas are covered in the morning mist
So if I wait for the mist to pass to make my choice
I won’t make it to the end of any path before the sun is gone
And the darkness that comes will cover the tracks
The benefit of knowing results in always
Being too late

Reach out from within
Grab the inside without
Disturbing the leaves

Mother, father, brother
Come on, believe me
Mother, father, brother
Come and relieve me
Sister, Sister
I cannot rely on you anymore
It is time to jump into the ocean

There’s no regret in sorrow
There’s only painful memories
But I’m not one to borrow
Past time miseries

If we retrace what we are
And realize what we’ve become
Then we know that we are not far
From what we want

Caged Magister

Caged Magister sitting in his chair
Looking at his children, pulling his hair
Trying to correct their wrongs
Everyone is dancing to their own songs

Running left and right without a care
Their shenanigans make people stare
All attention goes their way
The Magister can only sit there and pray

I can not prevent all their doings
What they're saying
Where they're going
I'm outleagued
I can only teach them what to do
And what to say
And hope that they
Will listen

A Blades Betrayal

Written by Kaffe Myers

Wishing for this moment to seize
So I can get a moment to breathe
And in that timeless form of space
Realize what I now face
What I've previously learnt
Now appears in my hand burnt
Was it just a façade you displayed
Or was it truth that became unmade

I thought it was true to believe
My reality check fades as you conceive
Your lies, my religion and I'm converted
Now I am left deserted
So, why am I the one to blame
When you and me are the same?
I fought every battle in wars you declared
And when I come to my senses, you're already there

Can't you look into my eyes?
Is it you or is it me
How do you want it to be?

Faked that smile?

Trying to touch base with the former version
Looking for a pattern, something that explains
This recent coin-flip, the very quick change
Don't punish the one that seemingly ain't to blame

Cut Through Bridges

Written by Kaffe Myers
Copyright©

Sitting on a big stone
Gravity turned up-side-down
Falling to the sky alone
I spot yet another sundown

I reach out to touch a star
The closer I get, warmth arise
I don't seem to get very far
It's just another hell in disguise

A coin with sharp edges
One side bad, one side good
But the middle cut through bridges
Something I finally understood

I'm not experiencing a meltdown
No, this is just another day
Thank you for the crown
I figure I will stay

A feeble result we meet
But I avoid complaining
It's something I have to eat
No room for a-whining

Climbing closet, wearing corset
Feeling more set, I already placed my bet
Colliding leashes, the temper clinches
Silence obeses, I've already buried my axe

The tip of my tongue can cut through blades

Threads

Mild happenings that encourage for another
To dive into something bigger
Evolution springs, ideas hatch
Fantasy turns into reality

Miles of pages turned can equal effect but
Experience is instant
Fiddle through the memories and
Pick the one most inspiring

Attend to the moment and fight for the repeat
Strengthen what you strengthen should
Turn mortal into something immortal
The case is open, control your decease to lack presence

Anything said, anything done can be a parallel
Events, words, let whatever it is impel
One to rocket, fountain of spirit
And fill out your list of merits

Prayer can carry you one step further
To let you move
But don't make believe that
Your own hands are no good

Fractals of insanity can only bring a life prosperity
Flesh the demise and feed it with itself
For the medicine it shares is fetid and foul
Distribute your own nodes to step on

And leap far if you so can
Lack of movement is the nocency that establishes a non-descriptive history

Choking

Written by Kaffe Myers
Copyright©

Look at me, look into mine eyes
I have a lot of things to say to you
Look at me, look into mine eyes
I promise, I've no intentions to kill you
Look at me, look into mine eyes
And hopefully you will realize that
If you find me intimidating, you need to open up
And break free from your comfortable seat

Look at you, look at yourself
Your generic answers do not have much to tell
Look at you, look at yourself
The frames you've set up now brings you hell
Look at you, look at yourself
You're ch-ch-choking, you're choking for words when
You don't have a suitable corner to dwell in
And now you are forced to actually think

Maybe I have to break you down
Consider this to be an exercise

Listen up, listen to me now
Don't die with the lie "What we have is all we got!"
Listen up, listen to me now
You know, the worlds equator goes all the way around
Listen up, listen to me now
It's a waste of mind to set your brain in cruise-control
And flow through conversations with an incomplete key

Defenseless fingers pointing in various directions
An ancient method to divert the attention
But fellow, this time you're out of luck
This is you, these are your words, your ways
Of which only you can be held responsible
If you don't like your new realization
Go ahead and make a change
You know, no one else can!

No man and no woman can get far
Without testing their own beliefs
No answer can exist without a question being asked
So question me
So question yourself
No mind is made out of concrete

BEEP! FLASH!

Words of Wisdom
Flaming Fury!

I usually preach good behavior and respect in various ways and forms, though this time my article will have a slightly different approach.

BEEP!!! BEEP!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! BEEP!!! BEEP!!!!
<Sirens go off and diodes start flashing in various different colors
in order to even let the blind see that something is going on>

[INSERT SPACE CACOPHONICAL LAZ0R BEAMS HERE]

Now that I have gotten your attention, you would probably expect to read some words of importance here, like on global warming or the imminent end of the world. Unfortunately, you usually aren't so lucky. As a matter of fact, this article will just be a rant about a certain thing that annoys the life out of me, that makes me want to kick and scream, that makes me want to get a sledge hammer and crush the source of this annoyance to bits so tiny you’d need a microscope to see them. From bottom and up, here we go…
Larry drives his car to work. It’s a beautiful day and he is feeling ok. The car runs smoothly and the radio plays good music. Of course, as everything is ok, he flashes with the headlights on his car every 3 seconds. Also, every time he makes a successful turn, makes a full stop, starts from a full stop, goes through a roundabout or spots a pair of legs he honks his horn. When things are going well, why not let the world know about it?
Larry, you’re an idiot.

At the West Bestern Hotel California, the service bell automatically rings a few times every ten seconds at a steady pace. In order to get the hotel personnel’s attention you will have to make the service bell stop going off and attention will be drawn to you. Someone thought this was a very bright idea.
Sorry, it’s stoopid and the thought of it makes me want to smash skulls.
Of course, both Larry and the West Bestern Hotel California don’t exist outside my imagination (or so I sincerely hope) but there was a point in writing what I just did. It would most definitely be a bad idea to act like Mr. Example-Larry or install a service clock in a hotel or a similar environment as the one mentioned in the section above and I’m pretty sure all who read this feel the same.
Do me a favor and answer a few questions:
  • Why do most cell phones blink when everything is perfectly normal?
  • Why do most anti-virus programs beep and alert just to tell that the database got updated without any technical issues along the way?
  • Why do laptop diodes blink when you are not using it so you will have to hide it or cover it with something in order to not lose your mind over the fact that something is blinking when you just want to rest but can’t because of the preferably blue diode for some reason not apparent to a mind burdened with a somewhat logical way of thinking, wish to announce that the laptop currently is not in use? AAAAAAAAAARGH!
Every machine and program seem to crave your attention for nothing. Trying to make people aware of everything (including nothing) just ends with people not really noticing anything. Bombing for peace… Good job, tech world.
